The Heritage Site was conceived and developed by volunteers who continue to coordinate programs, festivals, tours, and development. Living-history demonstrations, programs and re-enactments enhance visitors' experience at folk life festivals, seasonal celebrations, special events, and tours by appointment. Brochures and interpretive features facilitate self-guided tours. A virtual tour s available on your smart phone via the QR Code at the cabin or by clicking here.

There are a number of ways one could volunteer at the Heritage Site: get trained to give guided tours, demonstrate antebellum tools/skills, or interpret 19th century life at festivals.

Donations are welcome, and all proceeds are used for future programs and further development of the Heritage Site. Tax-deductible contributions may be made to the SNCA Heritage Site with “heritage site” or “slave cabin” in the memo field.

Group tours Group tours can be arranged by appointment with at least two weeks or more advance notice required. Minimum group size is 10. Guided Tour Cost: $3.00 a person. Self-Guided Tour Cost: Free.
