Sautee Nacoochee, GA

VOLUNTEERING AT THE CENTER

The Sautee Nacoochee Center is nothing without you. It is you! From the day it was founded the Center has been aimed in your direction - protecting the region's environment, documenting it's history and bringing the community together in a place that offers creativity, mutual support and concern for your corner of the world.

For years the Center's work has been about building a foundation where all of this work could become real. With that work completed, the bricks in their courses and the roof overhead solid and sealed, the task ahead is growing and substantiating our place in the larger, north Georgia community. The very community it serves is responsible for the successes recorded, inspiration by inspiration, dollar by dollar and volunteer by volunteer.

Inspiration and funding spring from the belief that something has life in it and that the path ahead to accomplishment is paved with purpose and worth.

As a volunteer you join the community in building something good, something of value, not selfishly but with the consciousness of neighborhood in mind. Look at this institution and you see a family which in spite of its size has a sensitivity for the individual and recognizes the gifts they bring to the whole.

THANK YOU!
We couldn't have done it without you

Honestly, volunteers do make a difference and we saw that with the success earlier this month of the Highway 255 Blues Club and Sautee Lunch & Learn. And over the past two weeks, you've stepped up to volunteer for Streetcar Named Desire performances, the reawakening of Simple Breakfast and Empty Bowls, a fundraiser for the White County Food Pantry. We are grateful for your time, energy and commitment when it comes to serving our community.
